New Mitsubishi Triton Athlete replaces Triton Adventure X

The new Mitsubishi Triton Athlete has been launched. The new pick-up truck replaces the Triton Adventure X as the flagship model in the Triton range.

Three colours are available, Sun Flare Orange Pearl, White Diamond and Jet Black Mica.

The Triton Athlete has a gloss black front under garnish, glossy black radiator grille, 18-inch gloss black rims, side steps. The side mirrors, door handles, aero type window deflectors are also black. There is a dramatic decal sticker along the sides.

The 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine produces 129bhp and 430Nm of torque. It has four-wheel drive with electronic aids for optimum traction including Hill Descent Control.

Safety in the Triton Athlete includes Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist (BSW with LCA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Ultrasonic Mis-acceleration Mitigation System (UMS), Auto High Beam (AHB) and 7 SRS airbags.

The Triton Athlete has an All Round Monitor (ARM), Driving Video Recorder (DVR) and 7-Inch Touchscreen Audio with Apple Carplay and Android Ready as standard.

In the cabin, the leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob have orange stitching. There is also LED illuminated scuff plates.

The Mitsubishi Triton Athlete is RM141,500, without insurance, and comes with a warranty of five-Years or 200,000km whichever comes first.
