Mercedes-Benz GLC 200 4MATIC now in Malaysia, from RM330k

Mercedes-Benz GLC 200 4MATIC launched alongside the plug-in hybrid Mercedes GLE 400 e 4MATIC with EQ Hybrid Technology

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia launched two SUVs, the GLC200 and the GLE 400 e 4MATIC, a plug-in hybrid.

The all-wheel drive GLC 200 is the entry-level variant. It comes in AMG Line trim complete with signature Mercedes-Benz pattern is on radiator grille, AMG front apron, chrome trim element and diffuser-look AMG rear apron. There are also polished aluminium roof rails and aluminium-look running boards with rubber studs, five-spoke AMG 20-inch light alloy wheels, simulated chrome underguard and simulated chrome-look tailpipes.

The headlamps are LED high performance with adaptive highbeam assist while the rear lights have a three-dimensional look.

Under the bonnet the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine has an integrated 48V starter-generator. Output is 204hp and 320Nm of torque. The transmission is nine-speed automatic. The GLC 200 4Matic has Agility Control suspension with selective damping system – continuously variable damping.

The GLC 200 has a comprehensive list of safety features as standard. These include Pre-Safe system, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist and Active Brake Assist.

The AMG Line interior features black Artico manmade leather upholstery throughout with anthracite linestructure lime wood trim. The heated front seats are electrically adjustable and have memory function. The 11.9-inch infotainment display on the centre console has a metal frame with three squircular air vents above. There are squircle vents on either end of the dashboard as well as in the rear. Both the infotainment display and the 12.3-inch high resolution driver display are angled towards the driver. The multifunction steering wheel is shod in nappa leather and there are AMG sports pedals.
