Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance is a petrol-plug-in hybrid

The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance debuted at the Malaysia Autoshow 2023. The new top-of-the-range AMG GT car starts from RM2,088,888 before personalisation options.

The GT 63 S E Performance has a 4.0litre V8 biturbo engine with a permanently excited synchronous electric motor, a high-performance battery developed by AMG and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system. The system power of 620 kW or 843bhp and the maximum combined torque of more than 1400 Nm enables acceleration from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds.It takes less than ten seconds to reach 200 km/h. Maximum speed is 316 km/h. The four-door coupé is the first performance hybrid and the most powerful series-production model to date.

The new top model of the model series offers extensive standard equipment, including AMG RIDE CONTROL+ suspension, AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programmes, AMG DYNAMICS driving dynamics control system and a ceramic high-performance compound brake system.

As with the entire model series, the new Performance plug-in hybrid offers a wide range of customisation options. The exclusive colour options available including MANUFAKTUR kalahari gold and AMG green hell magno paint finish. In addition there is a two-tone leather steering wheel, deep-pile floor mats with embroidered AMG lettering and decal sets in three colour variants for the side skirts.

The performance hybrid also comes with 21-inch AMG forged wheels in a 5-twin-spoke design, painted black and with a rim flange with a high-sheen finish. There is also the AMG Night Package and the AMG Night Package II with selected exterior elements in high-gloss black and dark chrome as well as the black foiling above the side sills. Also included in the standard specification is the AMG Aerodynamics Package and the AMG Exterior Carbon package.

Inside, there is a panoramic roof, AMG Performance seats in nappa leather, as well as the AMG trim elements in carbon.
