McLaren and Karwai Chan ‘Ride Every Wave’

Creative collaboration between McLaren and artist Karwai Chan redefines mobile art

McLaren Kuala Lumpur recently unveiled a McLaren GT, hand-painted in oils by Malaysian artist Karwai Chan in a creative collaboration called Ride Every Wave.

Karwai painted the McLaren free-hand, taking over 200 hours, to cover the white body of the GT in oil paints. The one-of-a-kind artwork is a cross-cultural confluence. British engineering with artwork inspired by Chinese Blue and White pottery, rendered in the style of Japanese artist, Hokusai, and brought together by Malaysian creativity.

The hand-painted McLaren GT is a one-off but there may be future projects. Register your interest in a hand-painted McLaren with McLaren Kuala Lumpur at www.kualalumpur.mclaren.com
