Honda Sensing in the all-new CR-V

The top-of-the-range variant of the latest Honda CR-V compact crossover now comes with a whole suite of advanced electronic safety features called Honda Sensing. The next generation technology in the two-wheel drive turbocharged 1.5-litre Premium includes a total of seven features in three categories of safety suites:

1. Driver Cruising Aid 
– Adaptive Cruise Control
– Low-speed follow

2. Frontal Collision Deterrence
– Forward Collision Warning
–  Collision Mitigation Braking System

3. Side Collision Deterrence 
– Lane Departure Warning
– Road Departure Mitigation
– Lane Keep Assist System

Malaysia is the first country in Asean to offer Honda Sensing in its cars. In addition to these seven features, Honda LaneWatch camera, Auto High-Beam and Active Cornering Light are also in the Premium. Other safety features that are standard in the all-new CR-V are six airbags, Driver Attention Monitor that assists drivers in remaining alert while driving, Vehicle Stability Assist, Agile Handling Assist, Hill-start Assist, Emergency Stop Signal, Electronic Brake Distribution, Anti-lock Braking System and Multi-angle Rearview Camera.

There are four variants available in the fifth generation of Honda’s SUV. The entry-level model is the naturally-aspirated 2.0-litre 2WD followed by three turbocharged models: the 1.5-litre 2WD, the 1.5-litre 4WD and the 1.5-litre 2WD Premium. The 2.0-litre engine has a top output of 152bhp and 189 Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre engines produce a maximum of 190bhp and 243Nm at full-flow. Both engines have CVT transmissions.

The new CR-V is offered in five colours, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, White Orchid Pearl, Obsidian Blue Pearl and a new colour, Dark Olive Metallic. Prices start from RM142,400 for the 2.0-litre 2WD and go up to RM167,700 for the turbocharged 1.5-litrePremium 2WD, both prices on-the-road excluding insurance. There are also three accessories packages from Modulo available, Aero, Urban and Utility, with prices ranging from RM1165 to RM5900. The Honda CR-V is covered by five years unlimited mileage warranty.
