GAC GS3 SUV now in Malaysia

GAC GS3 launch marks the debut of the GAC brand in Malaysia 

The GAC GS3 is now in Malaysia, the first car from the GAC brand to launch here

The B-segment SUV is powered by a four-cylinder 1.5-litre engine with a six-speed automatic gearbox. Output is 110bhp and 150Nm of torque. Claimed fuel efficiency is 14.5km/l based on the combined NEDC cycle.

It comes with up to 6 airbags, Blind Spot Detection, Electronic Stability Control, Emergency Stop Signal, Rear View Camera, seatbelt warning for all passengers and ISOFIX child seat mounts. There is a Climate Control System with PM2.5 filtering for odour-free motoring.

There is an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment monitor and three-spoke multifunction steering wheel for call convenience. The cargo space starts from 356 litres with 60:40 foldable rear seats to expand the space further.

The GAC GS3 is from China. Malaysia is the first country to launch the right-hand drive model. WTC Automotif will start a local assembly programme with GAC International in due course.

The SUV is available in two trim levels, Standard at RM88,800 and Premium at RM96,800, both prices on-the-road without insurance. There are four colours: Lunar Grey, Ivory White, Starlight Silver and Rosefinch Red.
