GAC GS3 Emzoom SUV now from RM119k

GAC GS3 Emzoom available in two variants, Exclusive and Premium R

The GAC GS3 Emzoom is now in Malaysia. The fully-imported SUV is available in two variants, Exclusive and Premium R which are priced at RM118,900 and RM128,900 respectively. Local-assembly of the GS3 Emzoom has begun in Segambut.

The five-seater GS3 Emzoom has a larger wheelbase at 2650mm, closer to C-segment crossovers like the Honda CR-V (2701mm), VW Tiguan (2681mm) and Mazda CX-5 (2700mm) but is priced against B-segment crossovers like the Honda HR-V, Toyota Corolla Cross, MG ZS, Proton X50 and Chery Omoda 5. The GS3 Emzoom has a similar wheelbase as the Mazda CX-30 (2655mm) which starts from RM131,000.

The Exclusive and Premium R share the same engine, a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 174bhp and 270Nm of torque, and gearbox, seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Both variants are front-wheel drive. 0-100km/h is 8.0 seconds with a claimed fuel consumption of 16.9km/L

The GS3 Emzoom has a distinctive front grille called the Mecha Wing Grille and electric hidden door handles. The difference between the Exclusive and Premium R is largely external styling as well as equipment upgrades. The Premium R has R Style Sport Package and R-Style Sport Exhaust which add a few millimetres to the overall length of the Premium R.

Both variants have blue and black two-tone interior trim with leatherette seats, leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel and the signature crystal electronic gear shift.

Four colours are available: Salt Lake Blue, Ivory White, Graphene Grey and Super Star Silver.
