Bridgestone Turanza T005: Audi’s choice for A7 Sportback

Audi has selected the Turanza T005 for the new A7 Sportback four-door coupé. The AO (Audi Original) marked tyres has a high-silica compound and NanoPro Tech polymer. The tread pattern is designed for wet adhesion and maximising lifespan and fuel efficiency.

The full range for sizes 17-21 inches of the tyres will be available for the A7. The car’s handling characteristics and road holding were optimised around the Turanza T005 tyres.  In addition, for the 19 to 21 inch Turanza T005 tyres, Bridgestone has incorporated their B-Silent proprietary technology which minimises road noise seeping into the cabin.

B-Silent makes use of an open-cell polyurethane foam element applied to the inner surface of the tyre to reduce the tyre air cavity resonance produced by the air vibration. This reduces cabin noise significantly compared to regular tyres, without compromising driving performance and dynamics of the tyre.

Bridgestone is the world’s number one and rubber company and Audi’s preferred partner. In just the past year, Bridgestone has fitted tyres to around 300,000 Audi vehicles on 11 models including the A3, A8, Q2 and Q7. The specific AO marking on the tyre guarantees a perfect match with the new vehicle and ensures that it has been co-developed and evaluated by Bridgestone and Audi engineers.
