Bridgestone 90th anniversary celebrations

Bridgestone Corporation celebrated the 90th anniversary of its founding on March 1, 2021

Bridgestone founder Shojiro Ishibashi believed that a profit-seeking business would never thrive. Instead, a business that contributed to its society and country would be forever profitable. He also believed an enterprise that did not serve society could not last, a conviction held since the Company was founded in 1931. Later, in 1968, Bridgestone defined its corporate mission as “Serving Society with Superior Quality.”

The company continues to pursue this mission. Based on this, Bridgestone has put forth its vision of “Continuing to provide social value and customer value as a sustainable solutions company toward 2050.”

The company will implement this Mid-Long Term Business Strategy while looking towards the 100th anniversary of its founding.
