Chery Tiggo 7 Pro media preview as order books open in showrooms

The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is now available for booking. The price will be announced during the launch later this year but is estimated to be below RM130,000. This is the third SUV from Chery to launch in Malaysia, after the Chery Omoda 5 and Tiggo 8 Pro last year.

The turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol engine with seven-speed dual-clutch transmission produces 194bhp and 290Nm of torque. The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is two-wheel, front-wheel drive.

Competitors to the Tiggo 7 Pro include Honda CR-V, Proton X70, and the Mazda CX-5.

External features for the Tiggo 7 Pro include LED headlights and taillights, LED front and rear foglights, auto rain sensors and electronic power tailgate.

Inside, cabin comfort feature include

• 50W wireless charger with USB-C and USB-A connectors
• dual zone climate control
• multi-angle (540-degree) camera system

The Tiggo 7 Pro is fitted with the latest generation of ADAS and has 16 ADAS features amongst which are:

When set, the Traffic Jam Assist moves the car forward following the vehicle immediately in front, maintaining a safe distance at up to 30km/h. Should that vehicle change lanes, the Traffic Jam Assist will automatically follow the next car directly in front. When speeds exceed 30km/h, the Traffic Jam Assist disengages.

There are also seven airbags, ABS brakes, Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Programme, Hill Start assist and Hill Descent Control and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.

The Tiggo 7 Pro is available in four colours/ colour combinations:

• Bloodstone Red with Black Roof
• Carbon Black
• Vanilla Blue
• Khaki White with Black Roof

The order books are now open with deliveries starting from May. The estimated price is below RM130,000.
