BMW, ParkEasy, Shell Malaysia and Sunway Group partner up for Reserve + Shell Recharge Bays

Reserve electric charging bays via ParkEasy app at Sunway Pyramid shopping mall

New electric charging stations have been installed at Sunway Pyramid shopping mall. Prominently located by an entrance to the shopping mall, the Reserve + Shell Recharge bays are a partnership between BMW Group Malaysia, ParkEasy, Shell Malaysia and Sunway Group.

The launch of the new Reserve + Shell Recharge Bays are just the latest phase in the BMW Group Malaysia’s push for electric mobility in Malaysia. Besides at the shopping mall, there will be 10 charging bays in total across three major Sunway Group properties: the five bays at Sunway Pyramid, three in Sunway Pinnacle, and two in Sunway Velocity.

ParkEasy is a parking booking and payment app. Through the app, plug-in electric/hybrid vehicles users would be able to reserve a spot at the Reserve + Shell Recharge Bays at Sunway up to 60 minutes ahead, assuring drivers that they will have parking and charging facilities when they arrive. Powered by BMW i Charging facilities, charging is complimentary but fees apply for the reservation and hourly use of the parking bays. The cashless transaction is intended to cultivate ethical charging behaviour among the EV and PHEV users: if you’re not charging, you’re hogging, being the mantra.

Starting July, owners of BMW Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) will be entitled to exclusive BMW Privileges at the Reserve + Shell Recharge Bays (there are terms and conditions). They include an e-starter pack for new BMW PHEV owners and an e-gift card to existing BMW PHEV owners for the use of the facilities at the Sunway Group properties. Now, they can enjoy the BMWMY promo code to redeem five ParkEasy credits for use at the Reserve + Shell Recharge Bays. The promo code is available from today to 31st July 2019, and is limited to 2,000 users.
