Bermaz updates Mazda CX-8 range, launches 2.5L Turbo variant, RM212,400

Book the updated Mazda CX-8 before midnight, 1 July to benefit from the SST exemption

The Mazda CX-8 has been updated and a new Mazda CX-8 2.5L Turbo variant added to the line up in Malaysia. The new front grille pattern debuts on the all-wheel drive SUV which is the new range-topper and starts from RM212,400. The six-seater is configured with two seats in each of the three rows.

The six-speed automatic gearbox, standard across the CX-8 range, is paired with a 2488cc turbocharged petrol engine. The power output from the Turbo is 228bhp and 420Nm of torque compared to 192bhp and 258Nm of torque from the naturally-aspirated CX-8 2.5L.

New standard features across the CX-8 range include GVC Plus, additional USB ports for the 3rd row passenger and a seven-inch instrument cluster meter, six-way power seat for front passenger, handsfree power tailgate and auto-folding mirrors.

Enhancement across the variants are as follows:

• The CX-8 2.5L Mid and High variants now have leather seats in Black
• The CX-8 2.5L High Plus variants retains the Nappa Leather in Deep Red Finishing.
• The CX-8 2.5L High variant and above, receive
  – the updated grille design,
  – LED Signature headlamps,
  – LED interior lamps as well as
  – wireless charger and
  – wireless Apple Carplay
  – eight-inch Mazda Connect Infotainment display
• CX-8 2.5L High Plus and above variants gets
  – Gunmetal finishing on its front grille and chrome bumper garnish,
  – front seats with heated and ventilation function
  – updated i-Activsense features with the newly added Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS), High Beam Control (HBC), front and rear Smart Brake Support (SBS) and Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) with stop and go

The Mazda CX-8 assembled at the Inokom Assembly plant located at Kulim, Kedah.

The colour line-up includes

• Soul Red Crystal
• Machine Gray
• Snowflake White Pearl
• Deep Crystal Blue
• Jet Black

There are also two new colours: Platinum Quartz and Polymetal Gray.

The Mazda CX-8 range starts from RM 177,674.40. All new Mazda vehicles registered comes with a 5-Years Manufacturer Warranty + 5-Years Free Maintenance (except Mazda BT-50) according to manufacturer’s standards inclusive of labour, parts and lubricants. Both Manufacturer Warranty and Free Maintenance have a coverage period of five years and a mileage limit of 100,000km, whichever comes first.
