Bermaz Auto, BAuto, is the new distributor for Kia vehicles in Malaysia. Bermaz Auto and Kia Motor have formed a strategic partnership to assemble and distribute Kia cars in Malaysia. A new company known as Kia Malaysia Sdn Bhd will undertake the assembly of the completely knocked down vehicles in Malaysia. Dinamikjaya Motors, a subsidiary of BAuto, will market and distribute Kia vehicles, both CKD and fully-imported models. Dinamikjaya Motors will also sell genuine spare parts and provide aftersales service in Malaysia.

Initially, three models are planned under the Kia JV for the Malaysian market: the Kia Seltos and Kia Carnival. The third model will be announced later. The assembly line will be at the Inokom plant in Kulim where Bermaz currently assembles Mazda vehicles. Kia intends to make KMSB the regional manufacturing hub for its Kia brand of vehicles in ASEAN countries and other potential markets.
