The all-new Volvo ES90 is now in Malaysia. It is the first fully-electric saloon by Volvo and is assembled in Shah Alam.
The ES90 is rear-wheel drive with single-speed automatic transmission and has air suspension. Power is 333hp with 480Nm of torque. Top speed is set at 180km/h. Zero to 100km/h is 6.6 seconds.
The battery capacity is 92kWh. The ES90 is built on 800-volt architecture and is capable of charging from 10 to 80 per cent in 22 minutes on a 350kW DC fast charger. On a full charge, the WLTP range is up to 651km. The on-board charger is 11kW.
The Volvo ES90 is powered by NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin. The computing platform is capable of performing trillions of operations per second. Acting as the vehicle’s core computer, it processes data from cameras, and radars to create a 360-degree safety shield around the car. With Volvo’s Superset technology set, the ES90 receives regular over-the-air updates, enhancing everything from energy efficiency to infotainment features so that its software features stay up-to-date.
At the front, are the signature Thor’s Hammer headlights which flank Volvo’s recognisable colour-coordinated shield and Volvo emblem. At the rear, distinctive new C-shaped LED rear lamps. The boot is 424 litres expandable up to 904 litres with the rear seats folded. The rear seats are individually adjustable in a 40/20/40 configuration. There is an additional 27 litres in the frunk. The tyres have 22-inch rims.
Inside, there is a panoramic roof with electrochromic glass which provides up to 99.9% UV protection. The glass transparency is adjustable, to reduce glare and increase privacy, at the touch of a button.
The seats
There is four-zone climate control and air purification. Standard equipment in the ES90 includes the Bowers & Wilkins sound system with 25 speakers and Dolby Atmos, delivering 1610 watts. The infotainment system with Google built-in includes Google Maps, Google Assistant, and access to a wide range of apps via Google Play. Powered by the Snapdragon Cockpit Platform from Qualcomm Technologies, the 5G-capable system is seamless across the 9-inch driver display, head-up display, and the 14.5-inch centre touchscreen.

They have the same charcoal interior with ventilated Charcoal Nordico upholstery and Birch Wood decor.
The Volvo ES90 starts from RM339,888 (on-the-road, excluding insurance). The first 100 units booked by 31 March 2026 will receive an early bird incentive: two per cent off the selling price.
