All-new Toyota Veloz 1.5 seven-seater crossover with advanced safety features

The all-new Toyota Veloz is a seven-seater MPV that replaces the Toyota Avanza in Toyota’s line-up. Like the Avanza, the Veloz has a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated engine but this is now paired with seven-speed CVT transmission. The power output is 105bhp with 138Nm of torque. Other differences with the Veloz are new front-wheel drive and the additional of Toyota Safety Sense. The autonomous safety features include

• Pre-Collision System (PCS)
• Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
• Lane Departure Prevention
• Lane Keeping Control (LKC)

Upgraded features in the Veloz are

• 17-inch alloy rims,
• LED headlamps with Follow Me Home
• daytime running lights
• electric parking brake
• Qi charging pad
• nine-inch touchscreen infotainment display
• wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

The roof rails can support up to 75kg of additional storage.

Since order books opened in June, over 6000 units of the locally-assembled Toyota Veloz have been booked.
