All-new Perodua Axia launched, from RM38,600

All-new Perodua Axia bookings at launch already at 20,100 units.

The all-new Perodua Axia has launched. The 1.0 litre D-CVT (Dual-Mode CVT) Axia comes in 4 variants, the entry level Axia G at RM38,600, two mid-spec variants, the X and the SE at RM40,000 and RM44,000 respectively and finally, the top-of-the-range AV at RM49,500.

Standard safety features are two airbags on the G and X spec, six airbags on the SE and AV, ISOFIX seats, ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution and brake assist, vehicle stability control (VSC), traction control (TC), Emergency Stop Signal and Hill-start Assist.

In addition, the AV has Perodua Smart Drive Assist, autonomous safety features which include pre-collision warning, pre-collision braking, front departure alert, pedal misoperation control, parking assistance including a reverse camera and rear cross traffic alert. There are also driving assist features like lane departure warning, lane departure prevention, adaptive cruise control, lane keep control and blind spot monitor. Finally, headlamp assist features like auto high beam and adaptive driving beam. This makes the Axia the safest sub-RM50k car, in the market.

Five colours are available, Granite Grey, Lava Red, Glittering Silver, Ivory White (solid) and Coral Blue (new).

Over 20,100 units have already been booked of the new A-segment car of which 13,600 were from customers who had booked the previous model Axia and 6500 new bookings since 31 January 2023.

The all-new Axia sales target is 5,700 units a month, and with the car’s annual production target set at over 82,000 units.
