BMW Malaysia has launched two new BMW 5 Series models: the all-electric i5 M60 xDrive and the petrol-powered 520i. The price was not announced but is estimated at RM480,000 and RM340,000 respectively, both on-the-road, without insurance.
Also launched were the all-new BMW iX1 eDrive20 M Sport and the first-ever BMW iX2 xDrive30 M Sport.
The i5 M60 xDrive is all-wheel drive. The two electric motors deliver 601 bhp and a maximum torque of 795 Nm. Zero to 100 km/h takes 3.8 seconds to a top speed of 230 km/h. There is 22kW AC charging and the high-voltage battery has a capacity of 83.9 kwH. The WLTP range is 516 kilometres.
The Adaptive M Suspension Professional includes Active Roll Stabilisation with Active Roll Comfort for reduced body roll on uneven road surfaces.
There is BMW Iconic Glow exterior package which features a fully-illuminated M performance kidney grille. There are also vertical LED strips in the headlights as well as M rear spoiler, M Lights Shadowline, M High Gloss Shadowline, and M Sport brakes in red high gloss, all part of the M Sport Pro parts package.

Inside, there is a curved display with 12.3-inch instrument panel with a 14.9-inch touchscreen Control Display, Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound System, featuring 18 speakers and an amplifier output of 655 Watts. The operating system is 8.5 and has BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, BMW Maps and the Digital Key Plus with security optimised Ultra-Wideband (UWB) radio.

Upholstery combinations consist of the Leather Merino Black / Atlas Grey, Leather Merino Copper Brown / Atlas Grey as well as the Leather Merino Silverstone / Atlas Grey.
The updated 520i now has a 48V starter generator. This provides smoother engine ignition and performance as well as improved efficiency and lowered emissions. The 2.0-litre engine produces 208bhp and 330Nm of torque with 0-100km/h in 7.5 seconds. The top speed is 230km/h.
Other updates include new 19-inch 934 bicolour grey wheels and flattened bottom steering wheel and redesigned centre console control panel and iDrive Controller.
The Driving Assistant Plus includes Active Cruise Control, Steering and Lane Control Assistant, as well as the Lane Departure Warning system.
The 520i has BMW Curved Display, comprising a 12.3-inch instrument display and a 14.9-inch touchscreen Control Display. There is a BMW Interaction Bar for control of the air conditioning.

Upholstery options are Veganza Perforated with Quilted Black and Veganza Perforated with Quilted Espresso Brown.
