GWM Tank 300 four-wheel drive fully imported from China
The GWM Tank 300 is now available in Malaysia following the preview at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024 at MAEPS. The ladder frame SUV is fully-imported from China although GWM will begin assembly in Malaysia later this year.
The Tank 300 has a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 217bhp and 380Nm of torque. The transmission is eight-speed automatic. There is a part-time 4WD. The Tank 300 has front and rear axle differential locks and comes. The off-roader has 224 mm ground clearance, more than 70% maximum climbing capability, approach and departure angles of 33° and 34° respectively, and a maximum wading depth of 700 mm. There are nine drive modes including Standard (2H), Standard (4H), All-Terrain Progress Control System for various driving conditions and different types of terrain and challenges including Snow Mode
In addition, to improve manoeuvrability, the Tank has Tank Turn Assist and Crawl Control (CCO) which reduce the turning circle of the vehicle and its agility in tight spaces. There is also Transparent Chassis Function which includes a camera under the body to eliminate blindspots while driving.
Safety features in the Tank 300 are L2 ADAS and include
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
- Intelligent Cruised Adaptation (ICA)
- Lane Central Keeping (LCK)
- Traffic Jam Assist (TJA)
- Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)
There is also six airbags, a 360º camera and radar systems for added safety along with auto collision unlocking and auto collision fuel cut-off. The Tank has a 1500 MPa ultra-high strength car frame.
Inside, the GWM Tank 300 cabin has black NAPPA leather upholstery with an 8-
way adjustable driver’s seat with massage function. The dual 12.3” instrument
screens and touchscreen infotainment support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The gear shifter is aviation-style. There is also a wireless charging port, 64-colour ambient mood lighting and a nine-speaker Infinity sound system. At the back, there are rear air vents, USB power outlets, and a fold-down centre armrest with cupholders. The rear passenger seats have two angles of adjustment, and also fold completely flat in a 60:40 split fold to accommodate large bulky items.
The GWM Tank 300 is available in four colours:
- Dusk Orange
- Fossil Grey
- Crystal Black
- Pearl White
The rims are 18-inch chrome alloy wheels. There is a standard six-year unlimited mileage
vehicle warranty.
