Hyundai Kona SUV coming Q4 2020, from RM115,000

Order books open for compact SUV at all Hyundai showrooms ahead of launch

The Hyundai Kona will be arriving in Malaysia in the fourth quarter of 2020. Hyundai Sime-Darby Motors (HSDM) has announced that order books are now open at all Hyundai showrooms. The estimated selling price will be RM115,000

The five-door compact SUV will be fully imported from South Korea. Features available will be:

  • LED headlight, taillight and daytime running light illumination signature
  • vibrant colour interior, contrast stitching on the steering wheel and seats, colourful seat belts
  • seven-inch infotainment floating touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto capability
  • Hyundai Smart Sense
  • Heads-up Display (with active pop-up display screen)
  • Wireless device charging

Several awards have been won by the Hyundai Kona since its launch in Korea in 2017 including:

  • the Australia’s 2020 Drive Small SUV of the Year
  • 2020 NHTSA 5-star Overall Safety Rating
  • 2019 NEMPA (New England Motor Press Association) Best-in-Class Subcompact SUV
  • 2019 North American SUV of the Year
  • 2019 IIHS Top Safety Pick+
  • 2018 Good Design Award by the Chicago Anthenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design

At July 2020, more than 600,000 units of the Kona have been sold worldwide, excluding the hybrid and electric variants.
