Porsche and Marina Bay Sands to host destination charging stations in Singapore as well as providing exclusive perks to owners
Porsche Asia Pacific and Marina Bay are in partnership to provide an exclusive lifestyle experience for Porsche customers, especially for those who have opted for the brand’s first all-electric four-door grand tourer, the Taycan.
Marina Bay Sand will host Porsche’s first Destination Charging stations in Singapore as complimentary access for all-electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles. The stations are expected to be operational by this year, which Porsche intends to accelerate the adoption and provide accessibility for zero-emission drivers, and as preparations for the upcoming launch of the Taycan.
That said, Porsche Asia Pacific says that the Taycan’s Singaporean debut will take place at Marina Bay Sands this year. To recap, the Porsche Taycan is the brand’s first all-electric grand tourer which features an 800-volt electrical system and a 93 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Motive power comes from two AC synchronous electric motors at the front and rear axles, which in the range-topping Taycan Turbo S makes a combined 761 bhp and 1,050 Nm of torque from idle.
This enables the all-electric Taycan its performance replicability typically experienced in many internal combustion engine Porsche models. With an impressive performance capability, the range is even more impressive, boasting 412 Km WLTP on a single charge.
“We are delighted that Porsche has become the first Automotive Partner of Marina Bay Sands, which is undoubtedly one of the most recognisable landmarks not just in Singapore, but across the world. Like Porsche, Marina Bay Sands is a leader and innovator in its industry, and we look forward to exploring new opportunities in the premium segment together.”
Henrik Dreier, General Manager – Singapore, Porsche Asia Pacific
