The second generation Subaru XV SUV has been launched in Malaysia
The all-new four-wheel drive is an “all-new” full-model change despite its similarity in looks to its predecessor with an all-new direct-injection 2.0-litre, naturally-aspirated engine that develops 154bhp at 6000rpm and 196Nm at 4000rpm, and an all-new seven-speed CVT gearbox. It also sits on Subaru’s new, lighter weight, yet more rigid, global platform.
The XV is now longer by 15mm and wider by 20mm, although it remains the same height. There is a new front grille and new headlights and tail lights.
Two trim levels are available, the 2.0i and the 2.0i-P. New features include seven airbags and the introduction of steering responsive headlights in the 2.0i-P model. Other features exclusive to the 2.0i-P are LED headlamps, headlamp washers, automatic headlights, dual-zone airconditioning, multi-function display and rain-sensing wipers.
The XV is available in six colours, Sunshine Orange, Dark Blue Pearl, Pure White, Ice Silver Metallic, Dark Grey Metallic and Crystal Black Silica. The price for the 2.0i starts from RM118,819 inclusive of GST but not insurance while the 2.0i-P starts from RM125,868 also inclusive of GST but not insurance.
