Honda’s fastest front wheel drive production car, the 306bhp Civic Type R makes its debut in Malaysia and will be previewed at Formula 1 Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang International Circuit from 29th September 2017 – 1 st October 2017.

The Civic Type R is equipped with 2.0-litre VTEC turbocharged engine that produces 306bhp and develops maximum torque of 400Nm, mated with an in-house developed six-speed manual transmission. There are three drive mode settings (COMFORT, SPORT and +R) for drivers to experience different dynamic performances under different driving environments, whether on the road or track. The variable drive modes control the Adaptive Damper System (ADS), Drive-by-Wire throttle (DBW), Electronic Power Steering (EPS), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), traction and brake system. All three modes are adaptive and suitable for daily driving, yet the Civic Type R is ready to go on the track.
Honda R&D also developed a 3-Way Exhaust System to provide a varying range of sporty sounds according to driving style. With the improvement of cornering performance in mind, it is fitted with 20-inch aluminium alloy wheels was designed for aggressive and high speed performance. While the Civic Type R is fitted with high performance Brembo brakes for better braking performance, there is also a cooling duct at the front bumper that channels air on to the wheels for efficient air cooling and improved braking performance at high speed.
The All-New Civic Type R model is fully imported. It’s brought in from Honda’s United Kingdom plant in Swindon. The engine is produced in Anna, Ohio by Honda of America Manufacturing Inc.
Besides the all-new Civic Type R, the Jazz Hybrid Mugen, Civic 1.5L Turbocharged and all-new CR-V will be previewed at the Honda Innovation. Evolution.
