Alfa Romeo now back in Malaysia: official

Alfa Romeo returns after an absence of over 10 years with Alfa Giulia and Alfa Stelvio

Alfa Romeo is back in Malaysia with two models: the Giulia Veloce and the Stelvio Veloce. Prices will be announced in January 2026.

Alfa Giulia Veloce

At 4643mm long, 1860mm wide, 1436mm high with a wheelbase of 2820mm, the Giulia will compete against the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class.

The Giulia Veloce sports saloon is powered by a four-cylinder, 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 280 hp and 400 Nm, paired with eight-speed automatic transmission. There are also steering mounted paddleshifts. The Giulia is rear-wheel drive. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 5.7 seconds to a top speed of 240 km/h.

In addition, there is a 50:50 weight balance, aluminium components and an 11.8:1 steering ratio to improve handling. A Q2 mechanical limited-slip differential and a carbon fibre driveshaft further support stability and traction. Front suspension is Alfa’s patented double wishbone while Alfa’s patented multilink with vertical rod is at the rear.

The exterior features include “Trilobo” grille, full-LED Adaptive Matrix “3+3” headlights and 19-inch wheels. Alfa Romeo also uses dark trim elements and Brembo brake calipers.

Besides passive safety features like ABS brakes as standard, the Giulia has Level 2 ADAS. Features include Lane Keep Assist and Active Cruise Control.

Inside, the Giulia has leather-clad sports seats, a three-spoke steering wheel and aluminium trim. The infotainment monitor is 8.8-inch with Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Meanwhile, the instrument panel is a 12.3-inch digital cluster display with ‘heritage display’. There is a 14-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio sound system as well as wireless charging. The boot is 480-litres.

Alfa Stelvio Veloce

The Stelvio Veloce is Alfa Romeo’s first SUV. Based on the Giulia, both are built on the Giorgio platform. The Giulia and Stelvio share the same 2.0-litre turbo engine and eight-speed transmission with 280hp output. The Stelvio’s top speed is 230km/h, 10 less than the Giulia.

At the front, the Stelvio has Alfa’s patented double wishbone suspension system while Alfa’s patented multilink with vertical rod is at the rear.

In addition, the Stelvio has a Q4 all-wheel-drive system, 50:50 weight distribution and features extensive use of lightweight materials for saloon-like handling precision. It also has 20-inch rims.

The Stelvio has Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features including Lane Keep Assist and Active Cruise Control.

Inside, the Stelvio has leather seats, steering mounted paddleshifts and aluminium highlights on the dashboard. The touchscreen infotainment monitor is 8.8-inch while the instrument cluster is 12.3-inch with ‘heritage display’. There is Apple Carplay and Android Auto, 14-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio sound system and wireless charging.

At 4687mm long, 1903mm wide, 1648mm high with a wheelbase of 2818mm, the Stelvio goes up against the BMW X3, Mercedes GLC and the Audi Q5.

Both the Giulia and Stelvio have received international recognition for design and driving dynamics. In the auto motor und sport “BEST CARS” awards, readers placed the Giulia first in the Midsize Import category for the eighth time. The Stelvio won the Large SUV/Off-road Vehicle Import category.

Alfa Romeo’s return to Malaysia is led by DLSB Partners Sdn Bhd. The company is part of Atlantis Motor Group, which has more than 50 years of combined automotive experience. Atlantis handles logistics, procurement, approvals, warehousing, pre-delivery inspection, retail and aftersales. It also distributes Peugeot and Leapmotor. DLSB Partners aims to rebuild Alfa Romeo’s presence and support network across Malaysia.

To support Alfa Romeo, there will be Casa Alfa Romeo, a 3S centre at TREC Kuala Lumpur. providing sales, service and spare parts. It will also serve as a hub for customers and the local Alfisti community.

In addition, Alfa Romeo Malaysia is introducing several ownership programmes:

  • La Bella Vita will offer lifestyle and driving events
  • Speed Dating will provide track sessions for customers
  • Alfa Concierge will deliver personalised assistance for service and ownership needs
  • The Famiglia Alfa Romeo programme will support existing owners and members of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club. It will give access to certified technicians, genuine parts and roadside assistance for both new and older vehicles.

Finally, Alfa Romeo Malaysia will also sponsor the ITF World Tennis Tour M15 in November 2025 at the National Tennis Centre.
