iCaur 03 all-electric SUV available in two variants 2WD and iWD and at an unexpectedly affordable price
iCaur Malaysia has launched its first vehicle in Malaysia following the brand’s debut in Malaysia in May earlier this year. An all-electric SUV, the 03 is available in either rear-wheel drive 2WD from RM119,800 or all-wheel drive iWD from RM129,800. The 03 is the first fully-electric off-road capable SUV.
Measuring 4406 mm long, 1910 mm wide, and 1715 mm high, with a 2715 mm wheelbase, the iCaur 03 is designed for rugged terrain. It has short overhangs at both ends, a 28-degree approach angle, a 32-degree departure angle, and gradeability of up to 55%.
The SUV has an iCARE safety system which includes a first-in-segment aluminium body and monocoque chassis with anti-corrosion protection for up to 30 years. The structure delivers 31,882 Nm of torsional rigidity — surpassing even modern sports cars.
The structure not only enhances crash protection, it also contributes to nimble handling. Complementing it is a 4-layer IPX8 battery armour system, which integrates a high-temperature mica ceramic upper barrier, and a 10 mm reinforced aluminium baseplate, which provides protection under both every day and extreme conditions.
There are two powertrain configurations. The two-wheel drive (2WD) variant with a rear axle motor, delivers 135 kW (184 PS) and 220 Nm of torque. The rear-biased Intelligent Wheel Drive (iWD) version produces 205 kW (279 PS) and 385 Nm through a dual-motor setup.
At the core of its performance is a compact yet powerful 6-in-1 electric drive module. This integrates the Motor Control Unit, Onboard Charger, and Converter to deliver smooth, responsive power and control, on city streets or while tackling muddy trails. The iROAD system has 10 selectable all-terrain drive modes, paired with a rigid H-arm multilink rear suspension
The 2WD model is equipped with a 65.7 kWh LFP battery, providing an NEDC-rated range of 426 km or roughly 355km WLTP range. The iWD variant features a 69.8 kWh battery with up to 418 km NEDC driving range or approximately 342km WLTP range.
For charging, the iCaur 03 supports 80 kW DC fast charging and 6.6 kW AC charging. It also features a 3.2 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) system, electronic devices and appliances can be powered directly from the car.
There is a comprehensive safety suite, which includes six airbags and the ADAS Level 2 advanced driver assistance package, offered as standard with the following features:

Besides performance and safety credentials, the iCaur 03 also has a 540-degree All View Monitor (AVM), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), 50W wireless device charger and an NFC reader located on the driver’s side wing mirror.
Inside, the cockpit features a 15.6-inch Full HD central touchscreen infotainment system powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor and 9.2-inch digital instrument cluster. There is also Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and on the iWD variant, a 12-speaker INFINITY audio system.
The iWD comes with ventilated and massage seats at the front, ventilated seats at the rear, and a 450-litre boot expandable to 1238 litres with the rear seats folded. Additionally, the iCaur 03 features a 40-litre exterior cargo box, attached to the rear hatch for carrying smaller items.
There is comprehensive aftersales support with a seven-year or 150,000km vehicle warranty, alongside an eight-year or 160,000km battery and drive unit warranty.
There is so the iCare Insurance Programme. The coverage provides more than traditional protection and includes the EV Wallbox chargers and portable charging cables, complemented by unlimited towing services. Insurance companies in this programme include:

In addition, iCaur Malaysia also provides a battery replacement guarantee: one-to-one replacement if the battery’s State of Health drops below 70%.
The iCaur 03 is also offered with a Wallbox installation package, provided through a partnership with EVC and Kineta at a standardised cost of RM1,388, borne by the customer.

Malaysia’s EV market has recently seen aggressive discounting. Initially estimated between RM145,000 and RM155,000, iCaur Malaysia is focusing on long-term value and ownership benefits. As such, the iCaur 03 will be as follows:
- 2WD variant: RM119,800
- iWD variant: RM129,800
Prices are on-the-road without insurance.
For an additional RM20,000, there is also the Black Phantom Edition. This includes an exclusive exterior bodykit, matte-black finish, roof rack platform, and side-ladder.
Early Bird Package
All booking by 17 September 2025 will receive the exclusive Early Bird Package. Malaysia’s first industry-exclusive ownership benefit comes with one year of unlimited charging via the JomCharge network (including authorised roaming partners) with Auto Charge functionality.
There is also a lifestyle package worth RM3,000, of merchandise and vouchers from Starbucks, JD Sports, Sunway Lagoon, and Touch ‘n Go.
To further enhance convenience, customers will receive a complimentary Wallbox charger valued at RM3,400.
Local-assembly Programme
Initial units are fully built-up (CBU) units. However, iCaur Malaysia will start local assembly of the iCAUR 03 in January 2026. This will be at the Chery Corporate Malaysia, Shah Alam plant, with production alongside OMODA I JAECOO Malaysia models.
During the launch, iCAUR Malaysia announced plans for up to 18 new dealerships and nine iCaur service centres nationwide by September 2025. This includes planned openings in Sabah and Sarawak within Q4 2025.
