2024 Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur is on from Friday 8 November to Sunday 10 November at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

More than 300 top tier tuned cars, including 15 specially brought in from Japan will be on display. Visitors stand a chance to win a new, tuned Win a Honda Civic FK8R Type R Mugen (more details below)

Making a return to Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur will is the iconic tuner, Top Secret’s Smoky Nagata. There will also be exhibits from Veilside, Trust/Greddy, Option, Tomica and San Ei Corporation. Meanwhile, Japan’s top tuners will judge an auto styling competition. Highlighets include

live performances.

There will be a wide range of Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur official merchandise for sale with a five per cent discount if they buy online via the website. Also available are Tokyo Auto Salon t-shirts depicting the unique graphics of some of the more iconic JDM models such as the R33, R34 and R35 Nissan GT-Rs, Honda Civic FK8 and FL5 Type R, Mitsubishi Evo X, and Toyota AE86 and Supra.

There will also be a limited, special edition 1/64 diecast Chameleon Nissan GT-R R33 (NISMO 400R). Fans can book one online with the purchase of any ticket, or at the show (while stocks are available).

In 2024, Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur will introduce Malaysia brand ambassadors who will be joined by brand ambassadors and race queens from Japan. One of the Malaysian brand ambassadors will stand a chance of representing Malaysia at the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon in Japan.

Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur is currently the only show held outside Japan. It is under license and modelled directly after the world famous annual Tokyo Auto Salon in Japan. Element X Strategies is the Sole Official Licensee in Malaysia with MUSE Group Asia as the Co-Organiser. The event is in collaboration with San Ei Corporation as the owner of the Tokyo Auto Salon intellectual property, and the Tokyo Auto Salon Federation.

Celebrating its 40^th anniversary in 2023, the Tokyo Auto Salon is one of the top tier international shows for both enthusiasts and exhibitors. It was first held in 1983 to celebrate the innovative and creative display of Japanese manufactured cars, also known as JDM cars (Japan Domestic Model). Tokyo Auto Salon has also become a prestigious platform for vehicle manufacturers as well as aftermarket accessories and performance parts companies to showcase their latest products and technology.

Win a Honda Civic FK8R Type R Mugen

Stand a once-in-a-lifetime chance of going home with an unregistered, tuned Honda Civic FK8R Type R Mugen. The grand lucky draw prize is open to all ticket holders with a top up of RM28 on their respective ticket price.

The giveaway is a collaboration between Element X Strategies as the Sole Official Licensee of Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur and The House of Type R.

The FK8R Type R Mugen is an unregistered 2019 model. It has a 2.0-litre VTEC turbocharged engine. Power is 318 brake horse power with 400 Nm of torque. The transmission is a six-speed manual. The car also features the following modifications:

Mugen gear knob
Mugen rear lamp
20” inch TE37 Rays sports rims
Aftermarket exhaust system

The draw will take place on stage at 8.00 pm on the final day of the show on 10 November 2024. If the winner of the draw is not present at the venue, they will be contacted by telephone. After three attempts go unanswered, the Organiser reserves the right draw another name. The winner must answer three simple questions correctly.

In addition to the Honda Civic FK8R Type R Mugen, exhibitor YRN Customs has also announced a giveaway of a modified BMW E36 325i four-door sedan. The contest is open to all visitors who spend a minimum of RM15 and the winner will also be announced on 10 November at Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur.

Tickets are RM60 a day or RM120 for a three-day pass to the show. Tickets for children between six and 12 years old are RM30 per day or RM60 for a 3-day pass. Children below the age of six are granted free admission. All persons with disability (including one caregiver if required) are also entitled to 50% off the ticket prices.

TASKL 2024 is also introducing Express Lane tickets to beat the queue priced at RM80 per day on event day. Also available are VIP passes at RM150 per day which entitles the ticket holder complimentary access to a VIP lounge.
