Suzuki Jimny 5-door now available, from RM200k

Suzuki Jimny offered in both five- and three-door variants

The Suzuki Jimny five-door SUV is now available in Malaysia. The three-door variant was launched in Malaysia in September 2021. The 5-door Jimny is 3850mm long compared to the 3-door which is 3,550mm. The 300mm longer wheelbase goes into cabin space, additional legroom and luggage room in the rear with a wide-opening tailgate.

The five-door Jimny has a 1.5-litre engine which produces 101bhp. The four-speed transmission is part of the new All-Grip Pro 4WD system which also features a four-speed low range transfer gear and limited-slip differential traction control brake. The 4WD system offers 2H two-wheel drive to 4H four-wheel drive on-the-go. In addition, there is Idle Start-Stop technology for improved fuel efficiency.

The front grille is the iconic five-slot chrome design. The ladder frame SUV has LED projector headlights with washers. For safety, the Jimny comes with

Inside, the Jimny has a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and automatic climate control.

The Suzuki Jimny 5-door starts from RM199,380.00 (OTR price without insurance). The colours available include:

  • Jungle Green

The five-door Jimny is the latest in a long and respected line of compact, rugged four-wheel drive off-roaders. The first generation was introduced in 1970. The second generation followed in 1981, which brought enhanced durability and performance. The third generation, launched in 1998, introduced more modern features alongside the Jimny’s distinctive character. Finally, the fourth generation in 2018, brought advanced technology.
