Isuzu D-Max range update includes additional features, new looks and interior stying
The Isuzu D-Max range has been updated for 2023. The entire range of 4×4 variants now come with the added feature of an electronically-actuated rear differential lock. The Diff Lock provides additional traction particularly over uneven terrain or highly slippery surfaces. The respective engine capacities and outputs remain unchanged.
On the exterior, there is a new radiator grille, rims, body accents and 17-inch and 18-inch rim designs. There are new design black seats, fabric or combination leather, depending on model. In the flagship X-Terrain, besides the black seats, there are new Café Brown garnishes and brown contrast stitching.
In addition, the X-Terrain now has ambient lighting in the footwell and a Digital Video Recorder with front and rear cameras. The front camera, mounted in the ADAS module, captures 1440P videos while the rear records in high definition 1080P. Videos saved to the onboard memory card or downloaded to the phone via an app.
The X-Terrain, Premium and Auto Plus variants have an improved wireless charger with 15W output for quicker recharging times. The X-Terrain and Premium also get an additional USB-C port.
For the Single Cab variant, there is new remote keyless entry access and a 12V power socket. The 3.0-litre Premium Automatic variant has a revised suspension set-up to handle heftier payloads. It has increased to 775kg. It was 580kg previously, an improvement of 195kg.
There are new colours for the D-Max Range. Most noticeable is the introduction of new colours for the flagship X-Terrain and Premium variants: Islay Gray Mica, and a new shade of white – Dolomite White Pearl. New too is Biarritz Blue Metallic, available primarily with the Automatic Premium, Auto Plus and Automatic Standard variants.
