Upgraded Honda Insurance Plus (HiP) with new benefits offers better coverage and protection for Honda owners
Honda Malaysia has updated their Honda Insurance Plus car insurance policy with additional benefits to improve coverage and protection of Honda cars and its owners. The upgraded coverage is covers three categories: Rescue, Protection and Savings
Breakdown services are now available 24 hours as part of Rescue. The HiP policy includes 24/7 towing assistance to any Honda authorised workshop within a 450km radius. Roadside repair is also available for flat tyres, low fuel and replacing flat batteries.
For Protection, only genuine Honda body and parts are used at Honda authorised Body & Paint centres. The parts come with a six months warranty or a 10,000km mileage warranty depending on the part. HiP members’ cars are repaired at a Honda Authorised Body & Paint Centre will receive claim pre-approval for claims belowRM20,000* . HiP members will also be able to get medical assistance** such as medical referral and arrangement of appointments, dispatch of medications which are not available locally, and medical evacuation or repatriation if required. As an additional new protection benefit, a HiP member is now entitled to Personal Accident Coverage of up to RM15,000*.
Most improved are the Savings which come from the enhanced Honda Insurance Plus package. The extended coverage terms and better savings from replacement costs helps to ease the financial burdens of HiP members. HiP currently pays out 100% insurance* based on the agreed value if car is stolen or severely damaged in an accident. This was for the vehicles up to 10 years since its registration but now been extended to 13 years for all HiP members.
Other newly introduced privileges include
- Unnamed Driver: HiP provides coverage for all drivers under private registration with no additional names and compulsory excess payment required
- flood allowance of up to RM1,500*
- special relief allowance of RM1,500* in the event of car theft or total loss
- special relief allowance of RM1,000* for lost key reimbursement.
In addition, HiP members also get 100% coverage for 10 years with no betterment fee. Old parts damaged in an accident can now be replaced with new original parts.
