Seven-seater VW Tiguan Allspace SUV available in two variants, Highline 1.4TSI and R-Line 2.0TSI
The VW Tiguan is now available as a seven-seater, the VW Tiguan Allspace. There are two variants, the two wheel-drive Highline 1.4 TSI and the four wheel-drive R-Line 2.0. The Allspace has an extended wheelbase to accommodate a third row of seats. The external difference between the Allspace and the standard wheelbase Tiguan are the looks of front and rear ends. Inside, the Allspace also has a larger boot space – 700 litres – which expands to 1775 litres when the second and third row seats are folded down.
The Tiguan Allspace R-Line has a 2.0-litre engine and new seven-speed wet clutch, dual-clutch transmission produce 217bhp and 350Nm of torque. The Tiguan Allspace R-Line the highest performance vehicle in its segment.
There’s 4motion all-wheel drive, also 19-inch Sebring alloy wheels, dual tailpipes and a rear spoiler. The 4motion works with other active safety systems in the car such as
- Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
- Electronic Stability Programme (ESP)
- Hill Descent Control (HDC).
There’s also Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) with Driving Mode Selection with up to 15 driving style preference and four driving modes
R-line badging on the steering wheel, stainless aluminium sports pedals, front and rear aluminium scuff plates, ‘Dark Grid’ decorative inserts and a black headline and Vienna leather seats are standard.
Inside, there’s a digital cockpit and 9.2-inch Discover Pro infotainment system, also plug-in App Connect (Apple Carplay, Android Auto, Mirrorlink), and complete voice and gesture control to give drivers complete hands-free connectivity from their seat.
The Tiguan Allspace Highline has a 1.4-litre engine with a 6-speed wet clutch direct shift gearbox. Output is 148bhp and 250Nm of torque.
There’s an 11.7-inch digital cockpit with colour thin-film transistor (TFT) display for navigation and media. A six-view customisable screen offers a new level of personalisation with over 30 combinations options. In addition, there’s an eight-inch composition media touchscreen head unit connected to the rear-view camera and complete car menu and infotainment system.
Key safety features are six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Brake Assist (BA), Multi-collision brakes, Intelligent Crash Response System (ICRS), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) as well as hill-hold control.
The paintwork for both variants are Blue Silk, Pure White, Deep Black, Platinum Grey and Pyrite Silver.
The all-new Tiguan Allspace 1.4 TSI Highline is RM164,430.75. The all-new Tiguan Allspace 2.0 R-Line is RM208,553.79. Both prices are without sales tax, until the 31st of December 2020. The cars come with three years free maintenance, five years unlimited mileage warranty and five years roadside assistance.
With sales tax, the all-new Tiguan Allspace 1.4 Highline is RM 169,990 while the all-new Tiguan Allspace 2.0 R-Line priced is RM213,490.
