Volkswagen Malaysia recalls 12,732 vehicles

The models include Beetle, Cross Touran, Golf (Mk6 and Mk7), Jetta, Passat (B7), Passat CC, Polo (6R) and Scirocco built before 2016

Volkswagen Malaysia has issued a voluntary recall on certain models produced between 2011 and 2015. This is to fix rectify the hydraulic pressure accumulator within the seven-speed dual clutch gearbox. In individual cases, the failure of the component can possibly lead to pressure loss, interrupting power transmission between the engine and gearbox. 12,732 vehicles need to be inspected under the recall.

The Volkswagen models affected by the recall are

  • Beetle
  • Cross Touran
  • Golf (Mk6 and Mk7)
  • Jetta
  • Passat (B7)
  • Passat CC
  • Polo (6R)
  • Scirocco.

If your car is affected by the recall, contact any authorised Volkswagen service centre to book an appointment.  VPCM has taken steps to ensure parts availability. All labour and replacement parts for this service will be at no cost to owners.
