Two additional E-Class based performance cars expands Mercedes-Benz offerings in Malaysia
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has launched two new models, the Mercedes-AMG E 53 Saloon and the Mercedes-AMG E 53 Coupé, bringing the E-Class range to seven models alongside the E 300 AMG Line, E 200 Avantgarde, E 250 Avantgarde, E 250 Exclusive and the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S.
The two new performance saloons are powered by a 3.0-litre, six cylinder turbocharged engine with EQ boost-starter alternator and paired with AMG’s Speedshift MCT nine-speed sports gearbox and four-wheel drive. Output is 435bhp, 520Nm of torque, the 0-100km/h sprint time is 4.5 seconds while top speed is 250km/h. Blink or your eyeballs will be battered by the dust whipped up as it passes.
The both versions of the E 53 comes with AMG Sports Suspension, Air Body Control and AMG Dynamic Select, 20-inch AMG 5 Twin-Spoke Light Alloy Wheels, a slew of AMG styling in the interior and exterior and Burmester surround sound system. The Driving Assistance Package includes Active Distance Assist Distronic, Active Steering Assist, Active parking assist with Parktronic, Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, Pre-safe positioning for front seats, Adaptive brake lights, Cruise control with speedtronic speed limiter.
The E 53 saloon costs RM 740,000, while the E 53 Coupé is RM 764,000, both on-the-road without insurance. AgilityPlus 360° finance package is available.
